Again this summer we will be dancing in the
cool, quiet, and quite refreshing countryside at the Old Blaine Schoolhouse - a wonderfully preserved
one-room schoolhouse at the crossing of Blaine & Eid
Roads, a few large fields south of Paradise Ridge.
Take Highway 95 south from Moscow about
5 miles to Eid Road, then east to the
crossroads of Eid and Blaine Roads, then north about 100 feet to
the first entrance! It's about 8 miles, and please, remember
to drive carefully, as
there are a couple of very square corners in the road!
Alternatively, you can head out east
on highway 8 to a right turn onto Lenville road,
then south on it to Blaine Road, up the wooded
canyon and over the eastern ridge of paradise,
and then around a couple more gravelly oxbow corners
and down the enchanting valley till you get to the
olde school house just before the intersection with Eid Road
(on your left, this way!)
Potluck dinners happen in the shade under the
cottonwoods, as a sort of ice creamy social preliminary to start these summer
dances... a great way to meet new people and relax from the
market!
