 Parallax

Parallax is the wonderful collaboration of Martin Watkinson and Brendan Littlefield. As a group, they found it hard to classify themselves at first. Since then, they've reluctantly settled on Indie-rock/Folk

They believe in quality of lyrics and artful instrumentation, be it composed or improvised. With principal instruments including cello, piano, and mandolin, their sound is comparable to Sufjan Stevens, Ben Folds, and Bumcello. Their shows now consist mostly of original pieces and selected covers, but they still do occasional live improvisations

About Parallax
"We have come this far. We have a year to accomplish what we may, before we leave the shelter of this town and go our separate ways. We are hunting down that elusive beast, musical infamy, and hunting it with ever increasing fervor. We may be ambitious. We are interested in what you have to say. Our name: hold your finger in front of your face, and look at it first with one eye closed, then the other. Your finger appears to move. This is the most practical demonstration of parallax, but parallax is also used to find the distance of stars and other heavenly bodies that are too far away to measure with traditional methods."

PFS says; We've heard these guys several times and they're truly refreshing and delightful. If you haven't heard them yet, you'll definitely want to come check them out. A must see and hear!
